The 3-Point Contact Set is the same set included with our Pro Inspection Kit and is designed for checking flatness.

Made from hardened stainless steel, the contact points are match-ground to within .0001″ of each other. The hex shape allows them to be positioned close together to accommodate parts as small as 1.55″ in diameter for flatness inspection.

The base features a nearly 3:1 ratio to resist tipping when sliding the contact points across your surface plate. The hex shape also provides a secure grip for handling and prevents the contact points from rolling away when set down. The contact points are magnetic, allowing them to be held securely if resurfacing by grinding is ever needed to restore them to specification.
